"Dr. Wayne, Because of you (probably) hear repeatedly from those still in pain, I thought I would write to you about your great success in my case. One epidural, 2.5 years ago...no pain! Bless your heart. I have referred several your way. Yesterday, the wife of our Chaplin, asked about my story. She is in much pain and may be coming your way soon. In any case, know how much difference you have had in my life." - Gary
"After getting hurt at work, I was referred to Dr. Weidenbaum. His staff is very friendly and always willing to help. During the first visit, Doc asked many questions and made sure that he took his time to answer all of my questions. He cares about the success in all of his patients as well as the welfare. I could not be happier with my progress as well as the determination of Dr. W to continue to give me the best life with the life long disability! What a wonderful doctor with the best staff. Thank you team."
"In May of 2006, I hurt my back lifting boxes of books at work. After a few days, I noticed this nagging tingling from back up and down my legs. It would come and go, sometimes with sharp pain. I went to the doctor and started down the road to relieve the pain that many others with back pain have traveled. I started physical therapy, got the MRI, and was referred to a neurologist who recommended back surgery. Something I was dead set against. With prescription pain pills in hand and attending physical therapy I was on my way to getting better! So, I thought :)! Only the pain never got better; it just seemed to get worse. After a failed attempt at receiving an epidural injection recommended by my neurologist, I fainted on the table while he was trying to find the injection site. In the fall of 2006, I was recommended to Dr. Weidenbaum and his associates, who suggested epidural injections. He assured me there would be no fainting, he'd take excellent care of me and it might provide me with some needed relief from the chronic pain. For the first time, I felt that someone really cared and understood about me and my pain. I felt entirely comfortable and safe in his hands after my earlier drama. Unfortunately the injections only provided temporary relief and I decide to take the surgery route in November of 2008. Well, it was not successful because the pain was worse. I was referred back to Dr. Weidenbaum for Pain Management. I thank the Lord every day for this blessing! At that time, I didn't know what I was going to do. It was becoming increasingly difficult to work everyday with the chronic pain or even function at home doing light housework. I could not sit, stand, or lay down for more than 10-15 minutes. I was just in pain all the time! Yet, I was hesitant to take more medication. That's when he suggested the Spinal Cord Stimulator. I was really frightened to have anything else surgically done to may back after the first failed attempt. Yet, he calmed my fears and assured me that everything would be okay. Finally, I saw some hope for helping me deal with the pain that had become so unbearable. Thanks to him and his fantastic surgery team, I have found great relief! I am no longer feeling constantly depressed or in pain. Although, I still take some pain medication, the stimulator allows me to get through the workday with at least 80% relief from the pain on most days. I am also doing a lot better with housecleaning and things I enjoy - gardening, swimming, and boating with my husband. I cannot thank him and his attentive staff for all they have done to help me and continue to do so! They truly treat you as a member of the family and are a very caring, effective and efficient team. Without hesitation, he is the Doctor that will help you manage your pain. Because of his work, I definitely have a NEW LEASE on my life!" - Montez H
