DRG Stimulation – A Novel Approach to Nerve Pain
If you suffer from neuropathic conditions or chronic post-surgical pain and have tried multiple treatment options without receiving adequate pain relief, we can work with you to help you return to a more functional and manageable status.
A first-of-its-kind therapeutic approach, DRG (dorsal root ganglion) stimulation can provide relief for patients whose neuropathies are underserved by traditional tonic Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS).
What makes DRG stimulation different from other treatments?
The DRG is a structure in the spine that serves as a nerve center in which nerves root and route sensory messages to defined areas of the body. As such, the DRG plays a key role in the development and management of chronic neuropathic pain. Because of this role the DRG plays, doctors are able to treat specific focal areas by applying stimulation to the DRG, achieving a therapy that is more focused than traditional treatments.
Our patients report successful outcomes from DRG treatment, including decreased duration and severity of pain, improved sleep, increased daily activity, increased comfort, and a restoration to their quality of life.

What to Expect at Your Appointment
Our program uses a multidisciplinary approach to help patients reduce and learn to cope with their pain. The pain program consists of physicians, nurses, medical assistants and ancillary staff who are trained pain management professionals and who deal with acute and chronic pain routinely. Following a comprehensive evaluation, our team develops a treatment plan and sets personal goals that address each patient’s pain problem. After a full examination, our team will determine if DRG stimulation may alleviate your pain.
